Welcome

Hi there, and welcome to the brand new version of this tribute site to my father.

If you have found your way here then you are either a piper, or interested in piping and, in particular, Pipe Major John D. Burgess.

Whilst the internet is a great place for tracking down information on any subject, it can be difficult to know what is correct and what is not. This is what my dad used to call P.P.C (Piping's Peripheral Crap).

This site is being launched to provide a source of definitive information and images.

There's also a dedicated page on Facebook -
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pipe-Major-John-D-Burgess/146593905370320

So, welcome again, and get in touch with any comments or questions.
If you have any pictures or source material I might not have come across, please contact me.

John Burgess Jnr.

Can You Hear (The Pipers Play)

With our family's long standing ties to all HM Forces, our "chosen" charity for many years has been Erskine Hospital.
You can read more about the great work they do here.

In an effort to support them further, I've released a track called Can You Hear (The Piper's Play).
Pipes and whistle on the track were provided by former JDB pupil, PM Ross Munro.
